Outrageous Lawsuits

A lady in Austin, Texas, was given three-quarters-of-a-million dollars to compensate her for a broken ankle. She had suffered her injury when she tripped over a little boy who was running through a furniture store. The child was her own.

A Los Angeles man had his hand run over while he was stealing the hubcaps off his neighbor’s car. He was given $74,000 to cover his medical expenses. That seemed really crazy.

An Oklahoma man bought a 32-foot Winnebago motor home. On the way to his house the man set the cruise control at 70, went to the back of his land yacht and began to make coffee. After the crash he sued Winnebago for not having told him the difference between “cruise control” and “autopilot.” He was given $1,750,000 and a new vehicle.
